 Installation: Numberit Requirements
Numberit is a single user licence, and works with ink jet,  laser printers or digital copiers, and has been extensively tested with a wide variety of different printers. . Numberit  works  with Windows  95, 98, NT, 2000 or XP. For medium to large numbering runs (Tens of  1000s of pages) , we recommend using Windows 2000 , 2003 or XP.
 

Intstallation Instructions:
The download setup file is contained in a self extracting 'zip' file. Run the zip file. It will suggest extracting the files to C:\TMP.

You may choose any folder you want. Once the files are extracted, you can then run SETUP.EXE. 

  •  The setup program, when run,  will install Numberit on your PC. 
  • After you place the order and install Numberit, numberit will request registration release codes.
  • Numberit will display a set of 6 blocks of numbers separated by hyphens ( - ).
    Lock codes  example:  9999-999-9999-99999-9999-99999
  • Numberit will try to create an email for you( this will work with Outlook). If it cannot, please copy the entire set as it is, including hyphens
  • Create a new email, and past the lock codes into the email.
  • Ensure that the email subject is not blank -
    eMail Subject example :  Numberit Release codes
  • Put your company details (name and address)  into the email, and your order number given when Numberit is purchased.
  • Release codes will be sent by email to you.
  • Copy the entire set as it is including hyphens into Numberit
    Release     codes  example:  9999-999-9999-99999-9999-99999
  •  You can now use Numberit.

EXPORTER  DOWNLOADS

Download Exporter.(winzip) HP Laser 1020 version. 9.9 Megabytes.  Update 1 July 2008.
This file is in WINZIP format, in order to avoid problems with firewalls. This has been set up on an HP 1020, 600 dpi printer. Print positions can be adjusted in Exporter if required. If you need Winzip to unpack the file, it can obtained from many websites,  including  www.winzip.com

If your printer is not a 600 dpi ( dots per inch) Laser printer, you may need to set up your printer to print on the pre-printed  forms. This is easy to do, and is available through Exporter. 

Please note that the printer paper size should be set to A4.
 
For viewing comfort, you should use Exporter in full screen - when you have logged in, please go to the Exporter Window menu, and select Maximize.

Users updating existing versions:
Please note you do not have to install the database manager again.
Please note that for existing users existing databases will be changed. Consequently earlier shipping data  and print positioning data will not be available. To keep you current licence copy C:\Exporter\System\system.dbf to new folder e.g. C:\ExportBackup.
After the update is installed, copy C:\ExportBackup\system.dbf to  C:\Exporter\system
To keep your original shipping data copy  C:\Exporter\Data\*.*  to a new folder e.g. C:\ExportBackup. Install the update, then
copy   C:\Exporter\Data\*.*   to C:\Exporter\Data replacing the files already there. You cannot retain your print positions. 

UPDATE: Download Exporter  Program July 2008 2 Megabytes. This is a winzip file containing the exporter program, which has enhanced print position control.  please unzip exporter_program0708.zip into the folder C:\Exporter replacing the program already there.
When Exporter is opened the version shown on the login screen should now be i11.08.07.
A Download training video on print positions update  is available. On completion of the download zip file, please unzip into a folder of your choice, and
 then run the video - Exporter_Print_Positions.wmv.

Please note that existing databases are different, and needed modifying, and consequently earlier data will be lost.
This is a full install including the database engine.( updated Sept.06)

Download Exporter Database Engine.  (winzip) 5 Megabytes. This is an installation  program. It is not included in Exporter HP 1020
Install program. It is included in the WInzip download install. Please download this if you need to to install the Database manager ( hwoever this download is provided as a backup as you will have everything you need in the Winzip version).

Step 1. Download  as Exporter_training.txt and then rename as Exporter_training.exe.
Do not click or double click (to "open" ) the link, as this will not work.
To download, right click on the link, and in the pop-up menu that appears, select SAVE TARGET AS.

Step 2. You will be asked where you want to save the file to. Select your desktop, so that you can easily find the file afterwards.
For the file name, the "Save Target As" option will suggest Exporter_training.txt. Change the file name to Exporter_training.exe.and  click Save.

Step 3. Then run the install program - it will install into C:\Exporter\Help.

Step 4. To run the video open  C:\Exporter\Help\Exporter_training_November5_2006.html

Note: If you accidentally download  Exporter_training.txt without renaming it as  Exporter_training.exe ( as stated above), you can
rename  Exporter_training.txt by right mouse clicking on the file, and from the menu which will be displayed, select Rename.
Simply change  Exporter_training.txt  to  Exporter_training.exe, and continue from Step 3  above.

GENERAL DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

To Download :
a. Right click on the underlined download  item,and a menu will appear.
b. Select "Save Target As..." and save the download item into My Documents, My received files.
c. You can browse for the folder where you want to download the item, or choose any other convenient folder, such as the desktop.
d. If you left click on the download item, you will see a slightly different download screen. You will be offered the choice of Run, Save or Cancel. Select Save will begin downloading. Do not select Run.
e.  If you left click on an Acrobat pdf file, your browser may directly display the document.
